The Low Latency Engineering Group at G-Research is responsible for providing and evolving a low-latency platform.

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our Colo Infrastructure team within Low Latency Engineering. You will help design and build high performance and highly available network solutions for colocation and low latency environments.

G-Research fosters a DevOps culture with a particular focus on automation. We want engineers that can absorb new technologies and drive the future technology direction in collaboration with teams and individuals across the business.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Global WAN solutions
  • Cloud connectivity
  • Low latency networks, including layer 1 switching
  • Timing solutions using GPS, PTP, NTP and PPS
  • Packet capture solutions, including optical taps, SPAN, tap aggregation and timestamping
  • Packet Analysis using Wireshark
  • Interconnecting for market data and order entry in exchange collocations
  • Multicast configuration and troubleshooting
  • Product evaluation and testing
  • Automation tools, including Git, Python, Golang, Jenkins, Terraform and Ansible

The final stage of our interview process is where you will meet members of your team, your future manager, and functional leadership.
